Bush is an overcomer. I am sure it is very difficult being the son of a President. He has managed to be able to understand the common man and his needs. He is highly educated, (even more than Gore and with better grades) but he doesn't flaunt it. Like he has said, "You don't get anywhere thinking you are better than others. You have to understand the needs of the people and help them. You have to be a unifier and not be divisive of the people. I will reach across the aisle and work to bring all Americans together for the common good of all." Paraphrased but essentially what Bush has said. Bush has certainly had adversity in his life, as most all of us have, but he has overcome. He is a very strong man and leader. Contrast that with the strategy of Gore to divide the people by class, ethnicitiy, socio economic groups, race and whatever. He pits you against me because of our incomes, our race, etc.. That is not good for a people who should all respect each other and be working to build a better America. With Gore you will continue to have a loss of harmony and Gore cannot reach across the aisle.

Liberal American Spirit, your posts are sounding more and more like campaign spin straight from Democratic party headquarters.

Did you know Bush personally? Have you met him? Or do you come to all these conclusions from one article out of that renowned magazine Vanity Fair?

AS

Even if we grant all your accusations (and we don't) they are not on the level of the lies of Clinton/Gore. Since when is your true "personality" revealed when you are under the influence of drugs? Are psychiatrists serving liquor to patients now? Maybe a little pentathol to the Clinton/Gore types.;) I'd think you'd be happy he makes little of his religious life, isn't this the great "fear" of the left. Competition's getting a bad name in your world too. Sibling rivalry, how human. Think Kennedy. Link the story... we're just as lazy as you libs, you know....too busy counting our money and clipping the coupons.
