Aus,

I definitely agree with your assessment regarding embedded flash as a replacement for flash cards. It's clear that the uses of embedded flash now are almost exclusively for code storage applications..

But I will say however, that embedded flash will most likely be in the same devices which also use SNDK's flash cards.

Mark my words, embedded flash will definitely replace any semblance of the current "naked NOR code storage" market over the long haul. It's cheaper, more efficient, and carries a smaller footprint. As die sizes shrink, much like the groundbreaking work that is being done at Taiwan Semiconductor, this will be the way to go, for sure (note that TSM has already created samples of 0.13 micron embedded flash)..

all the best, and have a great weekend

An Accurate ZDnet Review of iPaq vs. Palm:

zdnet.com

Price Price Price.

Palm/Handspring will continue to dominate unless PocketPC can compete on price.

I wonder how the rollout of SD- flashcard enabled Palm Pilots soon will affect SNDK business? -Especially if Palm decides to include built-in Mp3 playing ability as Standard in new Palms.
