<<Hey, if I heard Bush correctly during the last debate, he supported eradication of debt in third world countries (under the "right circumstances", suddenly, it is he who decides what the right circumstances are >>

I found no where Bush said He would decide when or which debt should be forgiven. Perhaps it should be the Congress which holds the real purse-strings for the bulk of the world. That the current IMF & World Bank will not even submit to an complete audit has brought great concern to both sides of the aisle & even Greenspan - one of their foremost supporters!

Every other banking institution backed or supported by the US Tax Payer Must under-go an audit - every other one from a small rural bank to the Federal Reserve - Why not the IMF or World Bank? This was the base of his argument about the IMF / World Bank - that the American Tax Payer must no longer pay when there is near no representation, little oversight, NO accountability, and the repeated inference of outright fraud!

Were you aware there were - until the Asian crisis - NO restrictions placed on IMF / world Bank executives or directors concerning US style requirements toward use of a "Blind Trust"?

I have no power to diminish you, your own disregard for the entire concept of a Free Market provided the diminution, I will gladly let the readers decide if the "Marxist" fits.

<<Could you visualize what would have happened if those interventions would not have happened? Maybe it would have been better, but I for one, would rather not live through a period where the GDP is cut by 30% in a short two years.>>

There is near no way in today's world of worldwide near instant capitol moves any economic downturn could last for 2 years.
