Hi CB,

It might be a different story in the northern states. Both oil and wood can be expensive.

While there I bought a generator and a stove that could burn both coal and wood. Coal for some reason stayed cheap even when oil and wood skyrocketed.

New England is covered in trees. BUT the electricity is delivered by above ground cable for some reason. Guess what, every time there is a storm a tree falls over someplace and cuts off the supply. I found the generator very handy. Two tons of coal fit into a bunker just over a meter cubed. Enough to see off the coldest winter.

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents worth.

rgds,

pearly.
