Im going to spend some time this weekend taking a look at everything that I have available technically speaking and try to determine if we are in for more of the same.

Oil prices are indeed the culprit IMHO. High oil equals high inflation as I so painfully recall the Jimmy Carter years when oil prices were this high and double digit inflation as well as 14% mortgage interest rates. The end of the Vietnam war as well as the OPEC oil embargo (against the U.S.) had much to do with high oil back then.

When oil retreated so did the inflation and interest rates. In a nut shell inflationary fear has side lined a huge pile of cash and it may be after the November election before people get a sense of security once again. Doug and I have been discussing this privately FYI. He and I share the same thoughts on most of what I just mentioned.
