No.

All transitions involve risks and unknowns.

As for prior transitions, I have a collection of PC Week magazines with editorials from their staff extolling the myriad of reasons why NOBODY needed an 80386 CPU when they already had an 80286 CPU.

A few years later, these same VISIONARIES decried the 80486 because everybody already had an 80386 - and the on chip FPU of the 80486 would NOT be used by 99% of PC owners.

You get the drift?
