I almost forgot about those. I actually advocated buying them back (at higher prices). They are a steal now.

But now it really a great time to buy these. AMD has the cash on hand, and as you said, they can issue new debt at reasonable rate if they need to, to replace the convertible debt.

Is it possible to just start buying those back at the open market? The benefit of doing is double: less debt, fewer shares. Lower interest expenses, higher EPS.

I think we should start a campaign.
