British Tissue

It's nice that the Economist still remembers that
soft tissue project, maybe they still use it
daily in the office.

economist.com

But I think they got Yrjö Neuvo slightly wrong, there is
clearly 8, not 10, times more software in a GPRS phone than
in an old phone, as there are 8 time slots on one GSM
carrier.

They also missed some on the old system of alliteration
my ancient buddies wrote down in Kalevala (Finnish epos
and folklore), should have been something like:

Fat Finnish Fables from Failing Envious English Economists
Whining Woes with Winning Wicked Wap

Ilmarinen and Vaka Vanha Väinämöinen

P.S. An old photo of me working on one early prototype,
Väinämöinen testing the modulation, power
amplification and the antenna, when we were young
students. (I'm working on the battery saving constant
amplitude envelope of GSM)

hel.fi

(the english text has some minor mistakes in the
translation)

P.P.S. My present buddies have upgraded to 200%
penetration, need to have one public SIM card,
phone number for all potential chicks, and another more
private when the present chick is around, not to
be disturbed, and two colour coded handsets to keep them
apart.

>>Want to be a Quillionaire
You too can be a Quillionaire. Stop the mumbling and buy as much Q shares as you can firstthing on Monday morning. If it has already become too high priced for your taste by the time you get to doing it, go ahead and short NOK and ERICY, it should be equally profitable.
