Total market cap for ADRs 10/13/00 $6,377,831,500. I don't have anything to compare this to, but will start tracking it.

CB - I just updated my data set, ran my program, and got the following results: market # of total market total earnings P/E ratio cos. cap ($million) ($million) ================================================================ NYSE 1872 11148529.16 440000.09 25.34 NASD 4367 4703541.71 -83969.13 -56.02 AMEX 624 95194.52 -6006.67 -15.85 OTC 1903 50177.29 -39297.07 -1.28 ================================================================ total: 8766 15997442.69 Looks like we're arriving at our results in a slightly different manner, so they are not comparable. Another thing is that my previous post used day old data, so the previous market caps were from the 11th of October.
