As tight as Gore is with his own money he would have his dog put to sleep if it became expensive to maintain it. By the way, does he even really have a dog?

Brooks Jackson on CNN did a comparison on "distortions of the truth" by both candidates. He called it a draw. Equal amounts of exaggerations and/or outright lies. Can't blame Gore and not look at your own man. He'll say or deny anything to get elected just like the rest of them. This is election time not true confessions. Gore has already been hit by the press for his exaggerations. Now it's Bush's time to have every word he says dissected. In the end it will be a draw. As it was from the beginnning. I admit Gore has/had a habit of embellishing a little too much. He didn't need to. His record and accomplishments can stand on their own. But when I hear Bush in those debates I have to guffaw on many points. Especially when he starts talking about his "compassion" and changing the subject when asked direct questions. Judging from his record there's very little compassion in Bush. His choice of Cheney proves it. Cheney is about the least compassionate VP choice one could have made. He is a tough hawk, for big business and even voted against school lunch programs, letting Nelson Mandela out of jail and the headstart program. Not to mention against banning cop-killer bullets.
