Well, I'll have to reread it and reply later, but on my first glance, with the density of emotion-laden words, it sounds like a typical bear grinding his axe. But there really is a difference between, say, France and here. When an American sees someone in a luxury car, he dreams of someday owning one; a Frenchmen in the same situation dreams of the day he'll see the idiot behind the wheel out walking, comme tout le monde. Dr Richenbacher observes, "Few people seem to realize a world of difference does exist between Americans and Europeans." Quite true; the Middle Ages didn't happen here. It makes an enormous difference in our outlook.
