I have a question. Feeling as you do, please tell me one thing Clinton/Gore did to generate the last decade of growth. What makes you think it will continue under taxman Gore? I think it's quite to the contrary

As far as I can tell most supporters have a short memory. One of the first things Clinton did after gaining office on a promise (HA) to reduce taxes on the middle class, which was struggling at the time, was pass the largest (non war driven)tax increase in the history of the US. Even with that tax increase the budget defic. continued to swell. Then when the mood of the country demanded Welfare reform after years of abuse and failure, he had to be dragged kicking and screaming to sign it. He was also against passing a balanced budget amendment until support became overwhelming.

As I see it we have had growth in spite of him, not because of him. We have prosperity because welfare roles went down as more people went to work albeit low wage jobs, the Cold war ended easing emotional and financial strain and we are free of inflation which is mainly caused by government defic. spending which he was forced to reduce. The interest on our National debt is more than the budgets of many countries. As the debt is reduced pressure for higher interest rates is also reduced making business expansion more affordable. But don't credit Clinton/Gore, it was the republicans who were demanding those changes.
