Hello Tech; I've worked the offshore oil patch for years, first as a boat Captain and then a Oil Cargo Supervisor, relatively speaking oil was higher in the early 70s, The shortage though was rigged, in fact every shortage we have had has been rigged. The supply is controlled not so much by OPEC as people might think. I'm not out there now but I bet I could take anyone from the DOE to huge fleet of Super Tankers that are and have been anchored fully loaded every since this crap started. Hell the oil in them tankers has been bought and sold several hundred times and the ships have never moved. It's like musical chairs, & sooner or later some one will own all that oil and the price will fall and the people who sold it to him will then be able to take over his company. When the Oil Mafia wants to hold back oil they have the power to do it and they have the DOE in their pocket; BTW the SPR was invented as a joke on the American taxpayer. ------------- Jim
