Was Cheney one of George W.'s father's Thousand Points of Light? Hey, I asked earlier if anyone remembered that one. No one, on this Bush thread, answered.

OK, whose idea was A Thousand Points of Light?

What happened to it?

Come on, folks. You gotta remember that one. Wasn't that the time when we were all supposed to get this great tax cut, that government services were to get cut and volunteerism was supposed to heap up into a thousand points of light?

And since we're strolling down memory lane, here's another good one for yers: Whatever happened to the privitized prison system? How's that stock trading these days, folks? Care to check it out? And didn't that come about during Republican watch?

And since we're doing this, how'd the younger Bush's dad make out with his Interdiction program? Looks like the same drugs are still coming in. When that one begin? Oh, yeah. It was Nixon. So what's it been, 30 years and the drugs are still coming in? It's no wonder the Republicans can't vote expeditiously on environmental and health care issues, that they always show up late to the table when this kind of legislation gets passed--they got that good ole' drug war going that they always gotta pay for.

Let's see, how'd this get started. Oh, yeah, I'm quoting American Spirit:

"...Compare him to Carter who GIVES his life to helping others. Cheney gave 1% to charity last year..."
