Looks like Bush tried to beef up the education platform of his presidential campaign using the charter school issue. A smokescreen to cover over other deficiencies witin the Texas educational system? Perhaps. Me thinks the third debate is where Bush gets challenged big-time. I also predict the debate ends with Gore challenging Bush to more debates. Me thinks that Bush, although able to do two and three-day crash preparations for the previous debates, can't sustain a strenurous debate schedule, given that he still needs teleprompters to give routine stump speeches. washingtonpost.com
