I agree. That's why I mentioned chkp and vrsn in the same breath. Both leaders in a noncompete environment. And again, there seems to be more threat(going back before the competitors you mentioned) to chkp than vrsn right now. However, I think that is always going to loom over their heads. Sure as shit, someone is always going after their lunch. Good or bad, I haven't seen any serious threads that amounted to a pile of beans yet, and their market cap proves it. >>CHKP is a tad bit overvalued for me too. That's why I shorted it in last weeks WAG. But it didn't pull back enough. And in reality, I have gotten burned more times than not shorting it, so I was just playing a tag it and watch it game last week.
