Please post the source for this North Korean info of yours. Sounds like a paranoid conspiracy source. North Korea isn't capable of firing a roman candle beyond their peninsula and would have no possible interest in doing so. The two Koreas are on the path toward re-unification. Not war. North Korean is the poorest country in Asia. And one of the poorest in the world. Like Cuba though perhaps their old dictator has to die before there is real change. They are willing to starve their people to stay in power. But that doesn't mean either has any money to do anything to hurt us or our allies. Those days are long gone since the Soviet Union fell. I hate communism but the way to handle them is to starve them out and offer them a carrot (knowing we have a big stick too). I have been to Cuba and have no fear of the country. I just feel sorry for the people there because nomatter what they do they can never better their lives so long as communism is in place. Talking about North Korean and ABM's is nonsense. If they do have long-range missles I'm sure they're rusting and decayed. Duds. And why the hell would they want to use them anyway. They would be clobbered if they tried. They have seen what happened to Iraq and Serbia. They know. Believe me they know.

If we are giving food aid to North Korea that's a good thing. Make them dependent on us to eat. Then they will never bite the hands which feeds them. Regardless though, North Korea is no threat to anyone but South Korea and (if that) and those who promote these tin-pot old dictatorships as reasons for spending hundreds of billions on a needless missile defence system are just trying to line their pockets and get fat contracts for themselves or their constituents. 400 billion more in debt too for us. And draining that huge amount of money from our real military and domestic needs. Israel may need anti-missile shields in its precarious position but the only thing the US has to fear are isolated terrorists and maybe Saddam disrupting the oil flow. In both cases we need good intelligence and might in the region to go in and surgically strike in retaliation. Next time we should take out Saddam too. Leaving him in was a mistake. Bush Sr. wimped out big-time on that one.
