Hi Tenchusatsu; Still an Intel cog with no imagination or design skills? Must be nice to have a big institution doing your thinking for you. Still wondering why you only saw 2-slot DDR motherboards on display? Maybe it's because 2-slot machines are easier to design, test and debug, so the manufacturers naturally come out with those ones first. But hey, the fact is that as slow as you are, you are not a thread moron. After the multi-slot DDR motherboards get rubbed in your face, at least you'll admit that they exist.

Any comments on the i820 vs i815 benchmarks, after the official Intel numbers came out? You seemed to think the numbers were pretty important before you knew what they were:

If 815 outperforms 820, all of the OEMs will build systems around the 815 and reject the 820. As a result, Intel will no longer have a market for the 820 chipset, and will drop it sooner or later. #reply-13297546

I really don't expect 815 to blow away 820 at all, unlike what Tom is making us believe. My real concern is how desktops using DDR SDRAM will compare to 820/RDRAM. PC133 is not a concern to me. #reply-13391369

Intel's tests show PC133 SDRAMs beating Rambus; results on Web site
Here's a surprise. Benchmark test results from Intel Corp. show its new 815E chip set with PC133 SDRAMs beating the performance of its 820 chip set with Direct Rambus memories.

Or do we get the official Intel line again? Just like we got the official Intel line on the Timna?
