Somewhere in southern Alabama, along the highway that goes through Dothan north to . . . . was it Montgomery? Anyway sort of a straight shot from the Florida beaches to Atlanta. I slept most of the way. It seemed awfully sophisticated for southern Alabama, but that's one thing about the deep South. Not much work, so you find very bright people in the strangest occupations.
