If Gore wins <shudder> I hope Texas splits into 5 states. I assume that is still provided for in your constitution?

The point is that Bush did the painting, Gore and Lieberman are just providing the light ...

<<I don't know that the rest of the country cares, but Texans aren't too thrilled by the painting of their state as a third world country by Gore-LIeberman.>>

I think Gore and Lieberman along with democrats in general are making a mistake in painting Texas as a third world country state. Texans are very proud people and they won't take it lightly. I would bet Bush has an extremely strong majority of the vote in Texas. Contrast that with Tennessee. It is very questionable, and quickly becoming probable, that Gore can't even carry his home state. What a statement this makes. Just look at how people who know the candidates are voting. Also, even though I have never lived in Texas I do know a lot of Texans and my opinion is they love their state and are proud to live there.

LIEbermans "spin" through the state is just making him look like an idiot for accepting his position as WhopperAls attack dog.(ever seen a Wienie dog attack someone? :o)) Anyone can see he was just running from place to place grabbing short sound bites chewing on some boot heels, so he can run North and tell folks how terrible it is in Texas.

Trouble is, lots of Northern folks(snowbirds) are headed to Texas in their RV's for the winter about now!!

BTW: Parttime getting overtime pay for his non stop posting now?? He must be totally out of it thinking that GWB might actually get elected...lol.

>>>This may be true--Here in Texas, the denigration of the state by Gore has people very angry if the talkshows are any indication. They feel that a very one-sided and narrow interpretation is being presented of the problems this state faces and the depth, uniqueness, and longevity of these problems. They see Gore's attack on Bush to have gone too far and become instead one on them and their way of life. One caller who resides in a town where Lieberman stopped said that it was a controlled photo-op with pre-arranged crowds and that careful screening and control was in effect. No opposition allowed.<<<

Now wait a minute, Rambi. Let's have a bit of perspective here. Are you telling us that Texans are feeling like Massachusett folk back when Big Daddy Bush blasted the Dukakis state record? Hey, isn't fair fair? Or are you now saying the senoir Bush was wrong to do so? Which way you want it? "Fair and balanced," like FoxNews? (LOL)
