I said nothing about Japan, but now that you mention it, they have brought about much of their own problems because they have such active blocks against imports & their stock market got to that level because of government intervention in the first place.

Yes, the government of Japan directly supports the stock market of Japan! Is this what you call a "free market"?

If you had read the article in more depth, though, you would have noted it spoke as much about the intervention by Treasury as that of the Fed.

At what level does intervention do more overall harm than good?
