Bullish on DirecTV, is more like it. And TiVo. The interview took place on Labor Day, before Hughes sold the satellite making part of the business to Boeing, to focus on DirecTV, DirecPC, and SpaceWay. I haven't looked at a Hughes balance sheet, don't know whether that's long term good for Hughes, or not. You'll notice that he is also long GM, and GMH is simply the class H shares of GM stock. He's also long Delphi, which is a GM spinoff. So he's really long GM.

If you have a subscription, WSJ article dated 10/12/00 says that GMH third quarter earnings from DirecTV showed slower than expected subscriber growth.

I like the company, don't know about the price.
