<Foreigners have also been buying US companies>

I know that for a fact, they invested heavily in dot.coms.
Unless NYSE or NASDAQ will find another SUPERNOVA the only profit from NDB purchase will be generated outside US. Rarebird, maybe I'm missing something, so could you enlight me please. In your honest opinion which sector of the US economy will start to shine in the dark like Bethleem STAR? All internet dot.com,B2B looks for me like falling ones, they will light up one or two times going through the atmosphere

i have a theory that says the key to stabilizing the domino's already falling as pushed by oil/via oil dollars is to lower the dollar....

we stop the flow of imports

we cure the sudden export problem as now seen in technology reporting in the last two qtrs..

we lower the trade deficit....

we lower inflation pressures in europe via devalued oil dollars and stronger purchasing power of non-dollar currencies in general.....

etc etc etc....

of course more than a gentle downward devaluation would certainly cause a first to blink scenerio followed by a run to the revolving door for all sorts of LTCM's.....

if indeed the excesses are bound to correct themselves in time..... regardless of central bank intervention either here or worldwide.... any SMART new president is going to want the inevitable to occur in the beginning of his administration..... in the hope he can fix it for re-election in 2004........

After the election i would wager a hands off at best approach by the FED in terms of holding up the markets... it will be in everyone's interest (who have the power) to let the markets go their own way south once the vote is in.....

no flames please. it's just a theory.

regards to all....
