On Jan 1st I was sitting on 65,000 shares of Qualcomm. I knew it was blowing off but rationilized not selling it on the stupid LTCG stupidity. It was a 4 million dollar lesson that I will not forget. As for buying back Naz, I am still hesitent, but might nible a litlle. I did put 15% last may and sold those positions for a decent profit last week(early). It is a very tough enviroment to manage money, Rates dont seem to want to come down, and with the surplus myth rebuked soon the supply thus price Decreases are inevitable. Mumi's have gone up, and the markets are like a landmind. Step on the wrong stock and BOOM! So how does one invest. I am looking for 8-12% without the risks. I have for the first time considered hedge funds(market neutral) or profesional managers(Not Bubblemutual funds). I have been getting a paltry 5% for the last 8 months. This fact is the one that will ultimatly save the markets. People have no where else to invest. I do believe that Value, Energy is where the 2000 growth is. There is an interview in The street.com of Gerry Jordan and its a good read about Energy VS TECH. I agree with his thesis.
