thanks. i know about the ADX - just want to know the value you use to determine the signal.

it never gives a buy signal for the Aug upramp, i.e. cross-over, but the +DI did move up from extreme low level - there is NO buysignal generated but the sell signal cross over happened on 09/06 to the downside and confirmed clearly on 09/08.

Friday's ADX reading was 46 (14 period) on daily - getting close to your 50-60 reading.
