What do you mean by went into the market? One calculation that you could do, or may already be done, is the sum of the price of all shares traded during the day at the price at which they were traded. Its not clear to me what this might be useful for (which isn't to say it might not be useful <gg>). It also seems that it would be very easy to manipulate. Perhaps you could explain a little bit more about the information you think would be useful and how you would like to use it. I'm sure there is some market behavior you sense would be useful - and probably would be - unfortunately at this point I am not clear about what you are thinking of.
