I enjoy Hahn's commentary, and the broad collection of material brought together on the site. I also enjoy the securitytrader.com charts that I discussed in an earlier post no one seemed to notice. I was thinking of Hahn, among others, when in an earlier post I questioned (again without response here) the validity of the Dow's supposed "diamond" formation. Like securitytrader.com, Hahn persists in using Magee/Edwards-style analysis without referring to volume patterns, a critical element. Scrutinized in relation to volume as well as other factors, neither the supposed Dow diamond nor the supposed ARBA double top nor the supposed "second top" on ARBA that's also supposed to be a "double top" qualifies as such, IMO. Both ARBA and the Dow might very well head in the direction Hahn appears to be predicting, and his use of supportive data from other areas may give his opinions more weight. If his predictions are borne out, it will have less to do I believe with the quality and depth of his TA than with some combination of luck and good wet-fingering of the prevailing winds. If so, then more power to him. Unfortunately, that's also how gurus are made, and we know what happens to them all sooner or later.
