I don't think he is a mean man. He has a directness you are not used to. You aren't used to a real man in charge. I do agree with you that Bush wouldn't sell his soul to be elected. The contrast is so sharp. Gore is trying to invent and be whatever he thinks the public wants him to be to get elected. Then, he becomes big government Al again. Kill those internal combustion engines. On to the motor scooters, people. The simple difference is Bush is a real man, honest, straightforward and you know where you stand. Gore is a little lord fauntleroy who has no real substance. Gore can't lead. Bush can lead.
