Some of it was "leased" that's correct. I would not believe for a minute that it was all "sold before it was sold." I mean, I recognize your doomesday posture re the mainstream markets, but still, let's not go overboard here! <g> The gold mkt was semi-anemic before the central banks sold; ever since then it's been in intensive care.

No it isn't. Some mining co's have gone bankrupt due to the low price of gold, some have stoppe dproduction and gone dormant, and others have deferred or indefinately postponed some of their projects.
