I'm with you on that, check MSFT CSCO INTC ORCL AND SUNW
they will easly over ride any qqq max pain. ( if the
bias is very much )

I have seen Max pain "fail" but then the next week
it kicks in.
If it "fails" to the upside the winners sell stocks.
If it fails to the down side the assinments for the
most part close short positions. Hence a rally
followes due to the reduced effective float.

Some of my best bets were the 1st or 2nd week after
Max pain "failed" to deliver on time.
The more it fails the larger the effect.

My thought is; say I have Csco with covered calls sold
and she gets called from me..well the person who got
it wants the profit not the stock.

People who want a stock want it at a discount and
often write puts, Also people who short will write
puts and let the put close the short or cover the
short if she moves up and keep the put money.

But there is no sure thing, I have had it fail
( once with calls ) and then not sell off.
However we were is very strong up market at the time.

One thing I sure don't like is seeing the value Line
now down below 400 even after the rally.
I had 400 in my mind and posted it some time ago
saying we had to stay above it not to hit a bear
market.
From March until this last week it looked like she
was basing and I had hopes the market was broadening
out, but with that new low I have my doubts
I can hardly find a fund anywhere thats got any profit
for the year.
