Clinton passed at least one really good bill.

It seems that, over the past couple of decades, elderly people have been giving away their assets so that they could qualify for Medicaid. This resulted in ENORMOUS expense to the various states with large elderly populations, who got stuck providing nursing home care to upper middle class people who could well have afforded paying their own way.

So, the administration passed a bill outlawing the technique of giving away your assets to qualify for Medicaid.

After all, if you choose to give away your assets, why should we taxpayers get stuck with your nursing home bill?

<<I say PLEASE, do not feel embarrassed because your family resorted to welfare, okay? >>

None ever have, just SSI payments from my mother-in-law. Bet she and her husband paid in way more than she burned.

Don't feel embarrassed because you are on welfare.
