Of course certain Bush partisans in Odessa are going to be mad at Vanity Fair. They have a lot of oil money to gain by having their favorite son in power. Stick to the unbiased sources if you want to make an argument. And stick to substance too, not whether or not some flare shook the floor or just the ceiling. Of course oil-fields are polluted. Nobody's blaming Bush for that. That's been going on for 100 years. The substance of the article about the man is what's important about the Vanity fair article. I could give a **** about flare-ups in oil-fields. So long as they are not a serious health hazard.
