Yeah, good idea, we should encourage mothers and/or fathers to work and drop their kids off at day-care, instead of help them stay home and raise them. Brilliant idea. Why don't we just set up government run day-care centers where a bunch of buraucrats raise all of America's children?

Except of course the wealthy like Whopper Al. They can be raised by a nanny.

Here's a tip...Why don't we lower the tax burden on working families so they can afford to have one parent stay home and raise their own children? Imagine that, actually having parents raise their own children! What a concept huh PartyTime?

Which do you think would be more beneficial to our society? Having one parent stay home to raise their children, or have the state tax everyone in order to set-up day care centers for every child?

<< Had GOPwingers not taken congress, Clinton/Gore might have actually got lower class sizes. Don't you understand that with the friction you guys give, it's hard to get anything meaningful accomplished? >>

Had the GOP wingers not taken over Congress there would be no talk of Budget surplus because:
The surplus was largely funded by taxes on capital gains,
welfare reform and other monetary restraints pushed by the GOP. The market was relatively flat under Clinton's first two years in office and did not explode to the upside until
the GOP took over.
