I think the Israeli side should recognize they will have a much more cooperative sponsor in Gore/Leiberman (excuse spelling please, I have never written his name before) than in Clinton. So it makes sense for them to wait and see if their true friend comes to power. Of course the Palestinians will despair then, but that's the idea, right! Convince them their prospects are bleak, and throw them a crumb, so they will be grateful to accept it.
