Did you expect Gore to have the same opinions 16 years later? 16 years ago (and 5 years ago) I was a Republican, and I changed my mind (Newt helped a lot). Hey 17 years ago, Bush was still drunk and possibly even on some very hard stuff (for lesser drug offenses he now jails young first time offenders, not the same law for him I presume). Actually, since this thread "aims" to be very accurate, I do not know if it was 17 years ago or 25 years ago, strangely enough, no one has really looked into the possibility of getting a former drug addict near the nuclear button. The press accepted his notion that he should not be asked about.

I think we will be well served with a Yeltsin like President.
