Thanks for the comments, DS. Like a lot of NTAP investors, there's a lot at stake as NTAP has made a bigger and bigger proportion of holdings as time has gone by. I have a lot of confidence in NTAP's vision and ability to execute, and don't really fear competition. The worm of doubt is always there, of course.

I was studying VRTS with the idea of taking a small position in it.

You are right that NTAP is moving rapidly into next generation and is now end to end.

clustering is certainly growing at a white hot pace. VRTS reported their clustering products growing at 150%,

and BTW, about SAN their remarks were these:

>adoption rate of SAN is accelerating in the US; money is being spent and budgeted in large corporations for it, primarily in homogeneous SAN environmentws

>support for SANS will really take off in 2001
