StarPortal. When's it being released? Isn't this the main way that SUNW will make money on their purchase of Star Division for $500MM? I assume you addressed this question to me because I wrote the last post. I have no idea when StarPortal will be released. I would also make so bold as to venture that nobody else does either, inside Sun or out. As to how they're going to make money on Star Division, I think the idea was originally that Star Portal was supposed to enhance the overall hardware/software/services solution package that SUNW could offer to certain internal and commercial portal-type customers. Is that still the plan? It's about a year after they originally planned to release something, and we have heard nothing except some PR quote to the effect of "the market wasn't ready for Star Portal", or some other crypto-flatulence. Star Portal isn't something I think about any more but this is JMHO. --QS
