Engineer:

I'm excited about the SIM cards but I'm not a techie. Can you explain the "same lower level code" you spoke of? Will the SIM in the CDMA be compatible with the China GSM Sim cards? Will a GSM/CDMA chipset come about to help transition users?

As always, your insights are very much appreciated.

Carter

ZTE SIM phone. Must be the MSM5105 1X-MC ASIC because it supports R-UIM interface (isn't it the only QCOM ASIC that does??). If so, this is a 1X MC chipset. Perhaps a lot of these are becomming available to china with Korea temporarily suppressing new phone sales. Looks like China may go with 1X MC phones and an upgradable IS 95 network.
