Let me ask you something? Do believe JNPR will stick just to routers? The market is always looking for the next MSFT or CSCO. JNPR has chance to join that group. We are not just buying the router story, we are buying network equipment supplier story.

I think your points are valid. JNPR is richly valued without question but therein lies part of their strength. JNPR's currency is unquestionably the best in the market. They can pick and choose their battles and pay less than most competitors. What startup would not want JNPR's stock over NT, LU, CSCO?

Think of JNPR as simply a core router vendor at your own peril. If they price their low end stuff similar to the Gorillas, they will take share... trust me. The will win ANY apples to apples comparison.

I know you echoed JC a few times on this thread by claiming that JNPR was just the tonic the Gorilla needed to keep DOJ of their backs. I believe you folks are going to find the tonic bitter. Be careful what you wish for and strongly consider covering on pull backs.

This is disappointing.

The optical market takes what I percieve to be a minor disappointment and JNPR get's whacked. Yes, JNPR was overpriced.... and is getting corrected... but I am not happy about it.

Now the question is.. what is a fair valuation for JNPR and when to get in??? Thoughts anyone?
