The 5185i, select personal communications, and a general belief that Jorma is too smart to say anything that would advantage the opposition. What motive could he possibly have to divulge the truth about Nokia's r & d progress--doing so would be to belie a corporate secret. If I were in his position, I would spread disinformation to my rivals at opportune times in an attempt to gain an advantage. This is a fundamental aspect of warfare which has been used effectively by certain elements of the corporate arena. I'll bet Jorma is more crafty than one might assume. Remember, appearances can be deceiving.

At this point, Nok doesn't look like a strong cdma player. Looks the Chinese will go with Chinese manufacturers and JVs with Chinese manufacturers.

If the last five years have shown us anything, manufacturers don't just suddenly start manufacturing quality cdma products, especialy w/o Q's chips.
