Yeah! And that is one BIG problem if you want to sell IPR for CDMA products...
If you want to sell chips however...
Nokia could have made CDMA 2G a real success, they tried, had "help" from QCOM, but it took until now before they got a real phone on the market.
Consumers don't walk into stores saying: I want CDMA because it has more capacity per cell - they say I want a Nokia phone because my friends have 'em. And I want a neon green.
QCOM has to make up its mind. The IPO is not going to fix this.
