RE> come on Kirk.....you have to admit, you are just a little nervous?

No, not really. Less than in past corrections or bears. We've had corrections before at this time of year. Difference this time for me is I was at 97.5% equities at the bottom of the '98 correction and this time I am sitting on a pile of cash taken out of the whole equation (living expenses should we have a 2 yr bear. When the NASDAQ and HWP got so high, I just felt it was a good idea to take some out and preserve the life I like.) plus a portfolio at 80:20 now give or take. I went from high cash flow salary to small cash flow, consulting when the windsurfing isn't so hot life style so making a 2 yr reserve seemed wise... 8)

Nobody likes to see their portfolio go down, people with 35% in the market don't enjoy it much more than those at 80%...

I'd be happy for the Brinker followers if he does add value to their portfolios on a correction, but I sure hope it isn't from a multi year bear. From my observations, most retired people on the Brinker site were playing with fire when he was bull and even if we don't get a bear, the reallocation was probably a good bucket of water on their over exuberance.

I DID have one thought... if technology stocks really go where nobody wants them, then many might go back to work from early retirement for dirt cheap options, work a few years if there is a MOABO, then retire again! 8)

take care
