Well said on all points K.B. Some thread favs getting hit today.

OSX, XNG and especially XOI took on the chin late last week. And they're all down again today.

Agree that we are approaching another ST bottom.

KB,

I agree, the food fight indicator says it's about time to buy, not sell.

Bought more OLOG for a full position now at $16.25, bought back the VPI stock I sold Thursday at $24.25, bought some RIG at $58.75, increased my already full position in KEG at $8.75, increased my position in FGH and now have a vary large position in NSS.

Kodiak I was thinking the same thing when I reflected on the status of the O&G Sector today and the diatribe level on the board here. So I hope to scroll down and find more angst directed at fellow board members then I will be ready to buy.

Hi Kodiak! I found your comments interesting...

>> the Naz won't find a solid resting place until we are picking the cranberries and stuffing out of our teeth and getting ready for that first slice of pecan pie. Why? I don't believe there is anything to take it northward until the new year, perhaps not even then. The oil story remains in place, I believe. <<

While putting some stock screens together over the weekend, I was surprised to see that there were only two, count em two, energy stocks still considered to be value plays. ROIL and EOG.

I was also surprised to see that none of the tech names we have come to know and love are showing up in the growth screens.

Therein lies the reason I think the Naz is going lower. The tech stocks aren't attractive to the growth investors and they are still carrying valuations too high for the value investors.

In my opinion, we'll see the bottom at the inflection point where the value investors find the techs attractive and worth full positions. It may take a few months, but I think we'll see it.

That's the plan, subject to change based on market conditions.
