I am liking AMZN here.

I think that some of the B2C nuts are becoming attractive as acquisition targets. One of the things that AMZN and PCLN have is strong brand names and an infrastructure for the internet business model. Where we had the internet companies buying bricks and mortar companies with their highly valued stock (AOL, EBAY), now it may make sense for the bricks and mortar companies to buy into an existing well established internet entity.

As far as PCLN goes, they need to do some work...clearly. But the reason that I didn't like them last spring is that they target people that don't want to spend money. Now that many of their potential customers have...ummm...taken a financial hit, they may be looking for bargains for things like travel. In other words, the current economic situation should benefit PCLN.

I am just thinking off the top of my head, no real in-depth analysis. Just a jumping off point for further conversation.
