B: Repeater Technologies Signs UbiquiTel Contract

SAN DIEGO, Oct 26, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Repeater Technologies (Nasdaq:RPTR)
here today announced the signing of a contract with UbiquiTel PCS (Nasdaq:UPCS),
one of the largest Sprint PCS (NYSE:PCS) Network Partners.

The contract calls for the delivery of RepeaterHybrid Network(TM) (RHN) systems
and associated equipment and services to the CDMA carrier during an 18-month
period. Repeater Technologies is assisting UbiquiTel with network design and
network optimization. RepeaterStar(TM) donor antennas and battery backup systems
are included in the contract. The Bala Cynwyd, Pa.-based PCS carrier expects to
deploy RHNs to serve portions of the population centers in its respective
markets and the interstates and primary roads connecting these areas.

"We spoke to other carriers that are using Repeater Technologies' equipment. The
feedback we received was highly complimentary about both equipment performance
and Repeater Technologies' customer service," said Dean Russell, UbiquiTel chief
operations officer. "In our 10 markets, there are many interstates, intrastates
and transportation corridors such as I-15 in Utah, and we realize that Repeater
Technologies' CDMA repeaters provide excellent highway coverage at the least
expense."

UbiquiTel's markets include the most important transportation corridors that
link the population centers within a particular market. The network will cover
more than 2,200 highway miles, including major interstates such as I-80 and
I-90. More than 45 million vehicle miles are traveled daily on the 2,200 miles
of major highways in UbiquiTel's markets.

"Repeaters are an integral network element for UbiquiTel's coverage of the
important transportation corridors in its markets," said Ken Kenitzer, Repeater
Technologies chief executive officer and president. "We are pleased to help
UbiquiTel to build out its markets and to provide quality, cost-effective
coverage."

UbiquiTel is the exclusive provider of Sprint PCS digital wireless personal
communication services to mid-size and smaller markets in the western and
midwestern United States, covering a total population of approximately 7.7
million residents. When complete, the majority of UbiquiTel's network will cover
portions of California, Nevada, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Indiana,
Kentucky and Tennessee.

Repeater Technologies, headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif., develops, markets and
sells wireless coverage enhancement solutions primarily to wireless service
providers. The company provides cost-effective, high-quality coverage systems
that can be used in suburban and rural areas, urban areas and inside office
buildings and other coverage-limited structures. Repeater Technologies Network
Repeater(TM) solutions re-direct, focus or spread the concentrated capacity of a
CDMA base station to expand coverage to desired areas. The company's
OfficeCell(TM) solutions provide indoor coverage and are compatible with all
commonly deployed 850 MHz and 1900 MHz wireless communications standards. To
