Judging by the way MSFT shares are behaving,a disappointment is already being built in,IMO.

johnd: The odd thing is that HP is gaining today while MSFT is being slapped. IBM is trading higher while MSFT is being punished. What is going on here? MSFT's future is a s bright if not brighter than these 2 old line companies. This sell off smacks of some kind of index fund and tax selling. Everyone I talk to that uses or works with W2K has nothing but high praise for the system. They say it runs rings around the Solaris and Unix competition and is very stable and a lot more cost effective. Another oddity of today's trading was that ORCL was down. This market is really running on emotion and fashion - this is not an environment for investors. JFD
