Steve, Steve #3 here. TD Waterhouse will allow you to do afterhours trading (go to the trading section and there should be a link at the top called "extended hours"). I don't remember if you have to sign some sort of agreement, however.

Steve, I thought you could trade after hours with most on-line brokers. I still use PaineWebber, but will be switching on-line soon I hope...commissions are a killer here. Of course stock options cannot be traded past 4:02, but if I recall I can trade stock up till 6:30.

Let's hope this was a stupid knee-jerk reaction that seems to happens quite often after hours. Seems that often these late traders get burned.
