Rocky,

Non-PC Photo Viewing

I was thinking of the "digital wallet" and the Handgo Jukebox as models for non-PC photo archiving and I think you are on to something. Again, a small set-top box with a 2.5" or smaller hard drive seems to be a good potential solution. I would still feel more comfortable with a back-up mechanism. Thus, I think a better solution will need to incorporate a hard drive and a removable archiving medium like Zip! or LS120 or a CD-W.

How is this for an idea...

A CompactFlash to VHS tape adapter (cartridge) that works in your VCR and has a built-in hard drive for archiving?

On second thought that sounds ugly.
