doug, re: That's because the Itanium isn't a PRODUCT. The Itanium IS the emulator, a very expensive, tardy one at that, for the next-generation EPIC-chip. Intel has already admitted as much. Nevermind that the EPIC architecture itself turns out to be a bad idea 10 years after it was conceived; times have changed, and we need many more web servers than supercomputers crunching the weather forecast. Itanium is coming, get over it! No more need for supercomputers, I guess when Jerry Sanders can control the weather - who needs a supercomputer?
