Bilow,
The HP patent has been mentioned before (maybe not here but in other boards) and the RMBS patent predates the HP patent. RMBS patent - 1990. HP - 1991.

Comparing the areas of invention, the Micron patent and the Rambus '263 patent appear similar, as does the HP patent and the Rambus '105 patent.

Neither the Micron nor HP patent appears relevant to the Rambus '443 patent, which claims invention in the area of internal data prefetch.

There are enough similarities between the Micron and HP patents and the Rambus '263 and '105 patents to warrant a more detailed examination. This analysis is performed below and concludes that these patents do not claim the same areas of invention as the Rambus patents, and in the case of the Micron patent, does not predate the Rambus patent.

Perhaps the Micron or HP patents could be used in an attempt to invalidate other Rambus patents, but given a careful examination of the patent record, they appear immaterial to the validity of the Rambus patents cited by AMI2.
